CONDITION OF RUSSIAN WOOD INDUSTRY IN JANUARY-SEPTEMBER 2010.
In January-September 2010 production index
of wood processing and wood products manufacturing amounted 111,7% (to January-September 2009) in production of cellulose, mechanical ground wood, paper, cartoon and their products – 106,8%.
Production index by “wood harvesting” activity amounted 108,4% as compared to January-August 2009.
Production increase was noticed practically in all product types of wood production complex for 9 months of 2010 in comparison with the corresponding period of 2009.
In terms of wood processing production they shipped the products of own production for the aggregate amount of 169,9 bln. rub. for 9 months of 2010. That is by 19% more than in the corresponding period of 2009 in cellulose-paper production - 235,3 bln. rub. (by18,5%); infurnitureproduction– 86,9 bln. rub. (by14,2%).
Consolidated indexes of the prices of industrial products suppliers in September 2010 compared to December 2009 amounted as follows: in wood harvesting – 104,7%; in wood processing – 103,1%; in cellulose-paper production – 115,7%; in furniture production – 103,7%.
When the prices for cellulose and mechanical ground wood suddenly rose in the IInd quarter of 2010 (by 30,3% of December 2009 level) that was caused by cellulose demand increase at the external market, the prices stabilized.
Increase of product release in January-September 2010 in wood processing and cellulose-paper production in comparison with the corresponding period of 2009 is explained by the market demand rally and increase of production capacities in wood advanced processing products manufacturing by realization of 12 priority investment projects in 2009-2010.
